About OurYoga
When the mind is quiet,when the body is relaxed when the breathe is calm and the heart is open…. This is yoga..This is the aim of OurYoga… Karen
I started OurYoga 29 years ago as my way of sharing the
wonderful practise of Hatha Yoga.
This style is about listening to the body, heart, mind and breathe;
feeding it what it needs at this time.
They say Yoga is a feeling, not an action… One should practise yoga until one feels yoga.Working with the body and mind and not against it, which will be
different for each person at each class.
I teach a different class each week. So we are constantly examining what and how we feel,where we feel it and then let the benefits just happen.I love linking poses together allowing ourselves to flow from one
posture to the next;
I write sequences that connect the body,mind and breathe;through
movement,mindfulness and breathe.
Then just being and feeling the outcome.
I read passages for inspiring writers, yogiis and poets whilst in
relaxation so we can soak up there words, thoughts and guidance.
`Better than a thousand useless words… is one single word that when spoken…gives peace.`OurYoga is based firmly on Hatha Yoga, which keeps the relaxation,
meditation and physical movements as equal components.
Yoga is the union of body, mind and breathe and my aim is to assist
you to find that peaceful place within yourself.
